  1. In-Game Username: Fruitcake Discord ID: 383817031402782722 Time Played on Elyx: Right around 82 days ingame time Contributions and Experience: I have a wealth of experience in Rsps', having been playing them since about 2011 in various roles. As for Elyx specific contributions it's mostly just bugs I've reported here and there, mostly on the ironman side of the game. I've also made a (now outdated lol) ToB solo guide. Briefly describe your experience with Elyx: Incredibly fun, but a tiny bit rough around the edges. I'm the type to notice the small details and cracks in a game, and while this game has some of that, its potential more than makes up for any shortcomings, alongside the community making it easy to stay. Have you been involved in any community activities or events? If so, please elaborate: I try to participate in what I can, whether it's the discord daily events, contributor hosted trivia stuff, boss masses, raids, etc. They're fun so there's never really a reason to say no to a little fun. What motivates you to apply for the Contributor Rank? I feel as though a lot people wanting to contribute with this rank would love to spread their new idea and help the game grow, and there is nothing wrong with that, it's great. I'm more of the type to look for places to polish and see what little things would greatly improve quality of life on the server. I don't think there are a lot of people who look at the game through the lens I do. I think it would be a good asset to have. Community Interaction: I just treat people with respect, and hope that they'll do the same for me. I'm truthfully not the most outgoing person, so a lot of times I won't be the one to spark conversation. But, I'm always happy to answer any questions I see asked ingame in help chat or to me personally and usually do. Especially newer players, I love to see the newer people not able to leave after they start because everyone's just so kind and helpful here haha. How do you currently assist or engage with fellow players in the community? Mostly just do whatever I can do for people where I can. I can't really tell you anything specific really. I just try to be helpful where I can. Share your ideas for improving the Elyx community or gameplay: Funnily enough, for the past couple days I've been working on a notepad of QoL stuff and bugs, so the timing is perfect. Here's a couple of the things I've jotted down: -In order to make Mage arena 2 capes a little more useful, maybe add Frost cape to forge and require 1 of each Mage Arena 2 cape at a 35%-50% rate. Otherwise they're useless -A skilling tele for the al Kharid furnace for smithing, some people including me have had trouble finding a furnace for smelting and that's the best option we have -Preserve prayer unlock in CoX (unless it's there and I'm just unlucky lol) -Superior slayer bosses as a slayer shop perk you can unlock. Gives a chance for Superior version of a boss to spawn after you kill. Increased rare chance + unique Pet. We already have a lot of these pets in the elyx store: kerberos, arachne, artio, skorpios. How do you envision contributing to the growth and activity of the server? I could easily see myself stress testing new updates and seeing + reporting what needs to be fixed. I'm really good at cheesing this game and finding the things that for sure shouldn't have been there. For example, the Seren safespot and the method to completely afk the whole battlepass are both things I've found so far, along with a lot of much smaller things. Vision for Elyx: My vision for Elyx is pretty simple, but it's to keep the community as nice as it is while the server continues to grow. I have no doubts the server is heading in a good direction at the current moment, and I'd like for the community to stay as great as it is along with the growth. Any additional information you would like to share with us? Nothing I can think of off the top of my head right now; except to wish all other applicants good luck!
  2. I'll add pictures to further help tomorrow after work. I'm very tired right now and the thought of formatting it all and making it look nice makes my brain hurt/ sorry
  3. First things first, I hope this is not the normal way to solo ToB for the considerable future, a large part of what makes this difficult AND possible is Verzik not working correctly. Way too high DPS and rate of unblockable attacks, and a large number of spawns kinda break everything. I'll explain as I go through. I'd like this to serve as a guide as well as show what flaws there are currently in ToB in the hopes that they can be fixed. I'd like to also add that you should be already familiar with ToB and how to kill the bosses. This is not meant to be a beginners guide as much as it is for people who don't know how to solo here, as I've heard more than one person say it's impossible. GEAR For Starters, I'd say Tbow is 100% required for a solo, while scythe is recommended but I don't believe required. You're gonna need a lot of brews, so I wouldn't take any more than a 4 way switch for melee and range, while bringing just a trident or sang staff for mage, no robes. I'd also like to add that both the blood fury and blood firebird pet are 100% required as well, as you'll need as much healing as you can get. This is my setup. The knives are needed only because currently the Tbow doesn't count as a range weapon against the mini crabs at Nylocas. The spec restore will also save you from dying, as you'll need multiple dawnbringer specs. Play with brew/restore numbers as you see fit. https://gyazo.com/ac3d2196767411b3bf80329fea656d9d Maiden Basically, you can go through maiden as usual, but I have tips for you so you don't waste supplies. As stated before, blood fury and firebird come in handy here, as well as the fact you don't need ANY overhead prayers. Just ignore the crabs and DPS right through them, they don't matter (or at least that's what I do, this is the type of place where the scythe is nice, but Tbow works too, just slower.) Protect from mage does nothing, save your prayer points. And if you're really struggling with supplies, you don't even need to ever drink a potion as you're healed after Maiden, as long as you're comfortable with it being a little slower. Bloat I got nothing for you here man, just the usual methods. Just don't forget to turn off prayer and conserve points as you're waiting for him to stop. Nylocas All my homies hate Nylo. Once again, more or less the usual ways of doing things here. Just remember to use the knives against the little ones, not Tbow. I'd also recommend to keep distance from Nylo when he's maging and ranging, as his attacks can overlap and stack if he switches to melee. you can't pray against both and it's annoying. Sotetseg and Xarpus Grouping these together because there's absolutely nothing changing from the usual group methods. Just do what you would usually do. Vitur Verzik Ill explain this one in phases. For Phase 1, as you walk in, talk to verzik to start the fight, then get to the pillar close to Verzik on her right, your left if facing her. I can't confirm if the other side works for sure for this method as I don't use that side, but I don't see why it wouldn't. As long as you have your spec restore ready to go, this phase should be as easy as usual. The only tip I'd have is to wait for your 3rd spec to restore before you drink your spec restore pot. Phase 2 is the real meat of this guide and I'm sure it's also what people think make this impossible. It's also where the bugs come in and break the boss. This is where Verzik's DPS spikes into what is way too high for any gear to tank, and it's unblockable attacks come back to back and can do up to 40 damage each. I want to really emphasize that this needs to be toned down a lot, as it makes the raid impossible without a bug breaking Verzik. As for the method, you'll want to go as far into the corner closest to your starting pillar as you can within the Tbow's rapid fire range and not move from that spot FOR THE REST OF THE BOSS RUN, not a step unless it's to dodge spider webs in the next phase. You'll start to notice more and more of Verzik's minions spawning and just freezing there, they'll really start to add up. This is why you don't move, you don't want to aggro them. From here, you really just have to hope your Tbow, blood fury, and blood firebird pet can carry you while while leaving you with 1-3 brews left after this phase. Tank for your life! Now on to what is a very anticlimactic Phase 3. As you stay hugged into your corner, verzik will walk up to you. Pray range and use whatever your best dps is. Remember not to move, you'll just have to tank melee hits, or prayer switch perfectly if you're a better PVMer than me. Once Verzik gets off you and starts walking towards the middle, STAY IN YOUR SPOT NOT MOVING. Now this is where Verzik breaks for good. once She's back in the middle, she walks towards gate and just....breaks. At this point, you can just afk range it until you've completed your first solo ToB! Congrats!
